Our Story

The Gerrards Cross Conservation Group was founded in response to increasing threats to the local environment.  While we are confident the Town Council and Bucks Unitary Authority are on our side, the reality is that major planning applications like Bull Lane often end up with the Secretary of State—they become political.  To resist this, we need to take actions that are often unavailable to local authorities.

To fight effectively, our community needs the best legal minds in the business. We are therefore currently raising funds to hire specialist lawyers, barristers and other professionals to lead this challenge.

Established as a non-political, non-profit organization, our mission is to protect the green spaces and Conservation Areas in and around Gerrards Cross, Buckinghamshire. Our formation was driven by the need to take decisive action against overdevelopment and to ensure that the community's voice is heard in planning decisions. We are committed to using all legal avenues to preserve the natural beauty and character of our area for future generations.
